I ordered a new clutch disc to replace the one in the car that was damaged when the transmission broke. I ordered the replacement for a 1.7L and received the appropriate 190mm disc.

Imagine my surprise when I compared it to the one that came out of the car and discovered that the old one was a 210mm.

My question is: If I am to make it legal and put the 190mm in the car, do I have to replace the flywheel and pressure plate? I assume that I do, but I am hoping I do not.

Along those lines, does anyone have a reference for part numbers for the parts. I like to make sure of what was on the car before I replace them.

Finally, any recommendations for where to get said parts?

Thanks,

You could run a 190 clutch disk with a 210 mm pp and flywheel.

Normally when you replace the clutch, you replace all 3 parts at the same time, or at least the pressure plate and disk.

Is your flywheel 210mm too?

From my ETKA CD

190 mm Clutch disk is P/N 055 141 033

190 mm Presure Plate are P/N's 067 141 025, 055 141 124, and 055 141 130

What Tim said, the clutch / pp should go together as a unit. Problem is, a 190 pp won't bolt to a 210 flywheel. Be happy and put a 190 mm flywheel on it, and save some rotational mass! I may even have on laying around if you need it.
