"Good" safety wire pliers?

Summit definetly doesn't sell them. And they sell the same thing I see on most sites. So where can a guy find something that, preferably, wasn't made by an 8 year old working on a dirt floor in Krapistan? My problem with the generic pliers is that after recruiting two men and a small child to squeeze the pliers close and engage catch to lock them the catch either immediately pops open or does so after the first round of twisting.

I have a pair that look just like those from the Brown Tool link. They are getting on 10 years old and still work fine for stuff on the racecar. I think I'm on spool #3 of wire since I bought them if that is any gauge of how much they get used.

I'd recommend the small size. I used a big size once & found them hard to manage, especially in smaller places.

I bought a really good pair once that managed to grow legs at the track...replaced them with a Harbor Freight made in Krapistan (I like that one), they work well too just a difference in quality.

I would recommend that if you buy a quality unit you go for the model with a spring-aided return. If you buy a cheaply made unit skip the spring return it is one more thing to break.
