I did a search but didn't find much, last discussed in Sept 06. I've been wanting one of these and finally found a used one for $350. I'm a little hesitant now about reading the thread on here that they don't work without upgraded software.

Has anything changed since then? Anyone running one now? The feature list was impressive. No beacon required either! http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productde....asp?RecId=4793 (http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.asp?RecId=4793)

Does anyone want it for $350 if I buy it and don't like it <_<

I understand they rely on the track having the upgraded software as well. There was a fairly negative thread on the production site (site appears to be down btw). I'm in the maket for an on board lap timer as well.

Many of the issues to date have to do with RF problems in the path from T&S to the car. BlindApex is working towards a free solution that should be announced soon.

The biggest issue I see is that when you really need it, it is most likely not to work: on test days.

Do all your tracks run the AMB system, and is it ON at all times?

If yes, ok, but if "maybe", then maybe a data aq system is a better choice. many have displays that can replace lots of expensive guages, making them a value buy.
