AeroQuip Socketless fittings

i plan to use the stock fuel pump in the stock location. so all of the fuel line changes will be on the low pressure side (pump inlet, regulator return and vent line) and will also be behind the metal bulkhead enclosing the fuel cell.

can i use Aeroquip socketless fittings for this or does it have to be the Stainless Steel Braided?

If I understand the question right, the rules require metal or metal covered lines ONLY if the lines pass thru the passenger compartment.

I've used the socketless fittings many times with great results. On pressurized applications like oil coolers, I use a small hose clamp for insurance. On the suction side like a carb set up, I would use it without reservation.

When you see the amount of force it takes just to assemble the hoses, you'll know what I mean. :)

I have used this for even pressurized setups like oil coolers without a clamp. The fitting is rated at up to 500psi so I wouldnt worry. Though in the race car I did use the braided stuff since its a positive locking connection vs the socketless fittings.

I use these fittings and line exclusively in my EP car, both for the fuel pump/cell and the oil cooler lines. The -6 are pretty easy to push on, but the -10 are a real bitch :)

I wouldn't worry about needing a clamp either.
