Ground Control continues to bring fresh ideas and innovate solutions to the VW enthusiast. The new GC camber plates for the VW A2 and A3 chassis are designed for the racer who is not allowed to cut or drill, or for the track-day drivers who need a simple alternative to "crash bolts".

The camber is adjustable by loosening four allen bolts (wrench included) and sliding the upper strut mount. Stress bar mounts are built-in, and the GC stress bar is a simple and inexpensive upgrade. (click here)

The plates are graduated with degrees, and the bolts are attached through a stainless steel load bearing washer that also serves as a pointer for repeatable adjustments.

Recommended for use with the TRUE coil-over spring kits offered by Ground Control, there are also options that may fit your car. When used with spring kits other than Ground Control, the owner must take all responsibility for making the correct choices and installation.

Im thinking of using these on a Corrado with H&R RSS ClubSport Coilovers to get some more neg camber for my Hoosier's. What do you think of the design.

Well it means no more cutting. I just hope they dont stop producing the old style plates for those of us that have already cut our shock towers to install camber plates.

I dont know if they would be any worse then their other plate, I really cannot see a problem with them.

I'd like to see a photo of it uninstalled. From the looks of this photo, I'd be a little concerned of where the loads are being placed on the strut tower. The factory design is for the load to be carried by the strut tower below the "dome" (where the seam sealer is).

I would think a pertinent question might be, How much camber do you need? How much do these provide? (with no cutting?) How much do the versions that require cutting provide?

Right now I have about -1.5 degree in the front and my temp readings are good across the tire and I have no "visible" abnormal wear but the rear is showing almost no wear at all on the inside half of the tire. I ordered and am in the process of installing -1.5 shims on both rear hubs right now but Ive only used this car once season and it always had RA-1's on it. My hoosier guy told me the new R6's like more neg camber than ra-1's do.

really I think im just gonna leave it alone til after VIR in february until I can get some more acurate tire temp readings. Just wanted to get some opionons on this design from you guys.

A good point is how much neg camber can you get with these things before you need a larger plate and cut off the top of the towers.
