I'll be a brat too... :P
4 cyl Porsches are all just some sort of VW/Audi anyway.

Yeah, but they don't need $2000 worth of Neuspeed parts to go fast... ;)

But ZERO Porsches were front wheel drive. (unless you want to race a 911 backwards :P )

Seen a lot of that.

So I made an offer on a 944 witrh a bad clutch....now I find Porkey clutches aren't cheap 500 to 900 bucks for parts? Normal?

Yep; I got a pretty good deal on a complete stock Sachs clutch kit off of ebay, around $500 IIRC. If you need the exact name of the place, I can dig it up. Good service, pretty unbeatable price.

Also, if you're doing a clutch job, take a look at the clutch hardware kit from Paragon (paragon-products.com). You may not need everything in that kit, but if you do, it's a good deal; flywheel and pressure plate bolts, release bearing guide tube, release fork bearings and shaft, etc. All are things that may need to be replaced in the process.

Yea....sure....the only AUDI part on that car was the advertising decals!

(Oh, so sad how Audi now dominates the world racing scene in a way that Porsche used to...........)

Everyone knows Porsche owns 30% of the Audi/ VW Group... And if you look closely at the R8 race car It is the Porsche LMP1 that Porsche developed and sold to Rheinhold Joast...
