I've been out a few years and need to get my cage mods done to be legal.

Anybody have any idea where I might get them done (preferably by a GOOD fabricator, not a hobbiest)?
I'd like to get it done right away, so I can finish prep work on my repaint.

Trying to get ready for a fresh start next year.

Thanks!

Just an FYI... there are some very good "hobbiests" and some not so good "pro's", so don't pick or rule out someone until you've seen their work.

Unfortunately, I can't think of anyone in the Ohio area off the top of my head.

The rollcage guy is Mark Mcmahan 330-645-6368 located near Akron

I have to echo the posts about Mark. He is one of the best in the business. His cages are artwork, he is very conscientious, knows the rules, and races in FP. He also builds the cages for the M-O school cars, and TC Kline, among others (including mine!). Cinci is a long way from Akron, but could very well be worth the trip.

I had my cage built at Bender's Race Cars and Parts in Columbus. Don Bender, 614-252-7223. EB Lunkin used him a couple of times, too.

Mcmahan is the best. VERY experienced. Perfectionist.
And he's cheap! :023:

Bill, might another way to express this ^ be his burden rate is not $90.00 per hour? ;)

The red Speedster with the Mark cage is the Erik Skirmants car............ Very interesting story of an incedent that happened while the Speedster was being delivered to Marks place for the cage. Can you view the Explorer with tandem axle enclosed trailer doing a 360* loop after some dumb a$$ plunged into the side of the trailer.

Thanks for the tips...

Uggg. don't really want to schlep to Akron for the minor work I need, but his cage work does look really nice.

Hey if I can schlep my car from Ohio then all around the LA basin, then you can manage to get to Akron. Mine's a former TC Kline car with a McMahn cage and it's a work of art.

You might contact the following in the Cincinnati area:

Doran Racing - located in Mason

Wright Tuning - located at Clermont County Airport

Both are well respected race shops who have significant experience in race car construction.
