It's sad that Australia has lost two of its heroes within days of one another. It's also ironic that they both were within their elements when they died. That still doesn't change the fact that they are gone, and their impact on our lives is huge.

I saw in another story that he was driving a "Daytona Coupe" in what I think was one of the Targa tarmac rallies. They are increasingly popular venues for vintage racing but - yikes, people. Those classics killed a lot of people when they were new and are obviously still dangerous. Bob Akin's crash in the GTP car a couple years ago comes to mind.

Brock was an amazing talent and a real star but when you "raise one" to him, make sure you have a designated driver ready to take you home. One of his missions in life was anti-DUI programs...

Why in the hell does that car not have a full cage in it?
Sad day indeed.
I will toast all of the drinks we have at the LSU home game this weekend.

I always wanted to paint my 510 in the BRE colors. One of my top five favorite cars is the Daytona Coupe. I was and am a Peter Brock fan since he worked for Carrol Shelby in the 60's. We're losing our heros. RIP brother........................................... ..
