So is anyone else going to be there, or will it be just me? I'm looking forward to it as it's been two years since I've last been there.

I'm in. First race of the season and I have back-to-back racing weekends. Saturday, for certain, I'll be taking it easy and getting back into the flow...

I'll be there but I'm, running the GTL car this weekend and the IT car next weekend at the Milwaukee Mile if we do not go to Topeka for the national race.

Apparently a couple of the Honda R&D boys are thinking about coming up after the Gingerman event got cancelled.

Bill, it'll be good to see you again.

Yeah, on his trip from Wisconsin to Michigan this week, he's actually going to hook the tow rig behind the race car and take the shortcut over the lake.

Way to go, Kevin!

The old record was a 2:43.686 set August 29th, 1999. The new record is 2:43.457 set August 27th, 2006.

Thanks for the congrats, guys! The car did fantastic on Road America's long straights and fast corners, but we'll see how it does this weekend at Grattan's tight and twisty stuff. I have a feeling I'll be up to my elbows in crazy fast CRX's.

Kevin,

You broke a 17-year old record? Whoa. Grattan CRXs will get spanked. They are probably planning now where they will hide. :)

yea....but his 6 yr old kid is diggin his math skills, as the kid is now, in Greggs mind, old enough to drive.

remember the first law of engineers....if they haven't used a calculator, don't trust the answer!

Now that there is funny! I don't care who you are!!

I can say, Kevin, that on Saturday, in tech, there was much discussion regarding your car by the other Integra driver and some of the other people. I didn't catch all of it, but they were wondering how you were so damn fast...

I was just happy to learn that the kink can be taken with nary a lift. Sure, everytime I did it, I nearly soiled my armour, but, still, it can be done! And, it's worth something like 5 seconds!

I am sure he is used to it...people talk alot...just tell them to show you the money!! There are times when I wish these talkers would put up or shut up...I like people thinking I am cheating...post your money! (call it the weekend beer fund!)

Kevin,

It looks like you will have to beat 1:30.738 at Grattan if you want break the record set in 1999. That's 17 years ago, ya know. :)

Bottom line, Kevin drove the wheels off the Integra.
People often have a hard time accepting the fact that others are just better. They don't look at themselves for a solution, just the other guy for an explanation.

Nice job Kevin, and nice to meet you.

As I always say, if you ever think I'm illegal, file the protest and I'll even let you use my tools! :P

The kink can very much be taken flat out, and at the exit of the carousel, you should be doing 100mph!

Gregg, you are correct on the Grattan numbers but like I've said before, I'm going to have my hands full with CRX's!

Well, Kevin, if you're going to the ARRCs, just tell the doubters to hang in impound after you podium, and watch the engine come apart. They'll at least know what you run up top......

(Assuming they do heads off and valve/cam/comp checks this year.)

I was about to make the "put up or shut-up" comment but then had to deal with something else...
