It's official - the Conover Engines/PhilsTireService.com ITB Golf is going to run the USERA twin 3-hour enduros, sharing the bill with the Grand Am Cup 6-hour races at VIR, October 6-8. My codriver for the weekend will be California NASA Pro Truck frontrunner Troy Lindstrom.

Troy's also got VW fwd experience and, like ol' Kirk, enjoys wet weather. Support for the weekend comes from Lynam Industries, a supplier of sheet metal parts to OE manufcaturers, primarily in the data and telecom sectors.

USERA was originally created as a Miata-only endurance series but organizers have seen the light and created a class for IT and SS cars. Yeah, they are all combined into one class but who cares! Maybe it will rain and we can beat up on Bimmers. :) This will also be a GREAT tune-up for the VIR 13 Hours, on the calendar one month later...

Anyway, 3 hours is hardly even break-a-sweat stuff so you lame-o's have no excuse for not showing up to try to beat up on US. The entry fee is very affordable and more information can be found at http://www.usenduro.com. I've got no vested interest in you entering this event, beyond wanting more people to race with...

Some points worth noting...

When we get 20 of any IT class, our plans are to create seperate race groups to make the racing more exciting for that class. For example, if 20 or more ITS cars enter, we will seperate them out into their own class leaving A/B/C and the SS classes together. Same will happen when we get 20 ITA car or 20 ITB cars.

Again, our long term objective is to make the racing exciting and to give you all a high profile race weekend to enjoy.

The preliminary event schedule can be found at http://www.usenduro.com/vir/VIR%20Schedule.pdf

Now, entry fee is $450 for each enduro, $900 for both. Plus, if you enter both enduros you will get a FREE entry for the 30 minute Sunday Sprint race that takes place just prior to Sunday's Grand-Am race!

We expect this to be a great weekend, with lots of activities not only for USERA, but through Grand-Am and GT Live as well. We've tried to make the entry fees as low as possible to help as many IT guys as possible be able to take part of the weekend.

You don't want to miss this event.

We will be providing Carbotech number boards and numbers, so register early to secure your favorite number!
