This isnt for an IT car, but I figured hopefully you guys could help. I have a carbed 16v on dual webers and need a cam for it and not sure what to get. Ive been looking at the TT 288's and then their is also the Cat Cams and Web cams.

I know Web cams are suppsoed to be good for carbs but im a little hesitant since I have know people with 8v's having problem with shimming them and then need lash caps cause of the base circles being smaller than normal.

Then the other option is a Cat Cam but I dont know anyone that has ever had one and have not heard much about them.

Thanks alot

I'd ask this question over on www.vwvortex.com , there's a lot of folks over there w/ this kind of experience.

My friend ryan has 288's in his 12.1 cr, 2.2l carb'd 16v and they are a good mix for street and track use. I would have gone with a set of schrick 300's if it were a track only car...
