The track record for ITA at Mid Ohio is held by Joey Moser in a CRX Si. The time was set 7-31-05 and is a 1:43.338. That was of course set during a race, but no has run faster than that in qualifying either.

The IT7 track record for Mid Ohio was set by Jason Albright on 9-11-05 at a 1.48.171. I don't know if anyone has beaten that in qualifying before.

I'd have to look at past results (2004 I think, maybe 2003) but I thought RX7s used to run into the high 47s at Mid-Ohio.

I'd assume they could run in the 46s now with new tires.

I noticed just this past weekend that there wasn't any IT-7. Or at least none of them are running it anymore after the new weight changes. But either way, Jason was there last weekend (in ITA) and I'm pretty sure he was running at least 1:47's. I'd have to see the results again to know for sure, but in the CenDiv, it'll take at least a month for results to be posted up somewhere on the internet, if at all. Apparently uploading to mylaps.com is just too hard.

What he said ^.

Guys, the reason I am asking about the times is that Larry Dent of the Production AC stated that his boss had turned 46's at Mid Ohio in a 1st gen ITA/7. I don't nave a clue who his boss is. I had known of THE GREEN 1st gen RX-7 ITA/7 turning the 46 a couple years ago. One of the reasons (to fast with a non-ported motor) the 1st gen was turned down for G Production.

Thanks
David

Not germane to the topic, but interesting none the less.

While searching for an answer to your question I discovered that the 250cc superkart record there is a 1:26.026 :happy204: and the 125cc sit up kart record is a 1:34.238.

Is that the same one that ran low 31s at Grattan?

His engine appeared to be "very strong."

I upload everything I get to Mylaps when I get it. Everything is usually posted through Neohio. If I can't get the AMB file from the local chief I can't post it. Waiting for MidO now. Sorry but can't figure out how to be in 2 places at once. IRP, Gingerman, Grattan and Nelson are all posted to Mylaps in about 2 days of the event, gotta have time to get home, dial up is not an option for this. Contact the local RE and tell them that you want Mylaps. The results are sent to SCCA in electronic files within 7 days of the event. Then we wait for them to be posted on the discussion. Can't speak for Area 5.

I'm not sure who's trying to compare what, but remember that there are (at least) two track configurations - with and without the chicane. All the regionals I've been to use the chicane - the Runoffs do not. Don't know about any other events.
