My question is: does the passinger side need to be like the drivers side with the bars going into the door?

I already have a bar on top and then a diangnal bar running from the front bar to the bar running behind the seat area.

is this all i need?

Please advise.

Thanks

They need not be the same; just two bars per side.

The advantage given those who want to take a bar into the door cavity--on either or both sides--is you get to remove the glass in the door in which the bar intrudes.

If you do not need the weight break, there is no need to change your set-up.

Cheers.

Based on your description, you're fine like you are.

Sounds like the perfect setup to run some 1"x.025 Nascar bar to gut the door.

I applaud the new rule for allowing other size tube for non required bars, but the rule needs to be looked at from a safety angle. Too big of a loop hole IMO.

I thought of the same thing...HOWEVER, once you gut the door the "NASCAR bar" becomes a required tube, thus subject to the minimum tubing size... - GA

Well, I guess that makes it a little better... still leaves it open for puny, spear-like stringers in between :(
