Here is some IT related racing sim stuff I've found 'playing' rFactor lately.

(btw, you can get rFactor at rFactor.net)

Everything below here is FREE

Miata Cup:

GTI Cup
http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=VW%20GTI
http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?I...po%20Cup%202003 (http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=VW%20Lupo%20Cup%202003)

I find the VW Lupo Cup mod's physics to be very similar to an ITC car in weight but an ITA car in power.

M3s with no SIR ;-)

North American Tracks!

There are more tracks too. Mid Ohio, Road America, Infineon, Portland, Daytona Road, and of course the rest of the world.

RRR is pretty cool, but the lap count gets messed up occasionally.
Getting airborne at Limerock is cool, too. The elevation changes are more noticeable in Rfactor than in GTR - especially tracks like VIR and MidOhio.

Bill, Do you know if anyone has done CMP (Kershaw) yet?

Anyone actually "driven" Road Atlanta?? The map is of the old track, sans the current chicane thing before the bridge...grrrr.

>> Do you know if anyone has done CMP (Kershaw) yet?

not on the radar...

>> on VIR can you run just north course?

All 3 configurations. Grand, etc.

>> best/most realistic wheel and game option

Logotech Momo Force and rFactor. There are other wheels but why spend $300?
rfactor is the game that will allow any modification. Any series, any track, any cars etc... GTR2 will be coming out next month but that is for FIA GT cars only.

>> Anyone actually "driven" Road Atlanta??

Forget the map pics posted here they are not related to the game.
The Petit LeMans version of rFactors Road Atlanta track is correct.

I just think it would be way cool to have an IT race on this website...take the Lupo's to Nordschleiffe or RA etc..

Another thing about the sims...
Not all of us on this site are drivers. Us crew guys usually only see a fraction of the track. Racing the sims helps me become more familiar with the track. When the driver talks about what the car is doing on exit at turn 9 I am familiar with that portion of the track - much more so than just looking at a 2D track map or graphs on a laptop.
