Trojan from "[email protected]"

I received the following email this morning:

The sender spoofed the email addy as [email protected]. loadadv705.exe is a trojan. Just an FYI since somebody is using these forums to distribute malicious software.

IT.com will never send emails to it's members. This was done by somebody else. That email functionality has been disabled.

We've upgraded the site code to protect from this exploit in the future.
They evidently found a problem that would have been fixed pretty quickly had we had about another week's notice. Sneeky bastages!
