I cannot find a good set of race wheels for the Z3. My only options are Team Dynamics (impossible to get....TD always says they're on the boat!) or stock (heavy 19+lbs) or $500 race wheels. I had Tire Rack drill a set of Kosei 15x7 blanks but they don't drill anymore and 15" are not legal.
Can anyone help with;
1.) A source for 16x7 5x120 bolt pattern (et 38ish) wheels for me that are relatively light and strong, under $300 wheel, and that you would trust your life with. (And that are actually available!!!)
2.) A souce for a wheel blank that fits those criteria that could be drilled by a machine shop or wheel house to fit the 5x120 bolt pattern.
3.)Will 5x120.6 (which is 5x4.75 in) work on a 5x120 hub without vibration or compromising safety?
Thank You in advance.

I've heard good things from reliable racers about Bogart wheels, never tried them myself, don't know if your size is available, but you might want to check. I used Aero brand wheels for rain tires on a GT-5 car, have heard of other GT drivers using them with slicks. They are made for roundy-round cars. The 13x6 spun steel weighed something like 12#, cost $55 each. Might be worth checking to see if they have a size you can use.
Maybe some GT cars use this size??? Anyway, try posting the request on the GT forum, http://www.gt-racecar.com/forums/default.asp
(may have to join Yahoo first, not sure)
Good luck

Did you try Revolution? For at least some of their styles they can drill to what ever bolt circle you want and machine to a particular offset (within reason).
Don't know if they do it in a 16".
Would trust them, I have two sets that were done this way, go back about 5 years and they were about $200/wheel (I think).

I saw those Jim, thank you.
I was afraid of the backspacing. I was also afraid of my history of on track performance and then showing up with those wheels and..........you get the picture. I can only be the butt of so many jokes.

hahahah. I think I would rather spend my money on improving my skills then on a big old gold eagle on the hood of my golf.
These should fit the bill:

Nah. My first race is probably going to be the Glen w/NASA in May. Then I'll see you at LRP in June.
