USERA's Ken Grammer made an interesting post on the SCCA SouthEast division forum about this weekend's event at CMP. The meat of it was somebody asked USERA if they would be willing to let IT cars run in this weekend's endurance races and they agreed. The entry fee is $400 for a single race or $700 for both. Even though the IT (S, A, B, C), SM, or SSB/C cars wouldn't be eligible for points or purse, that's still 4.5 hours of track time on Friday and 4 hours on Saturday. (Hey it's a chance for all of you IT-7 guys with stacks of "the wrong tires" laying around to burn some of them up (-: ).

See Ken's post on the SCCA forum or see the "race only" entry form at:

Yep, it's true. I was talking with Ken, saturday at the social, about the pace car duties next weekend, and I jokingly said I could bring the Honda to pace the field, and he said bring it and race.

That is cheap seat time. However, when your on a tight budget already and $700 can potentially buy you an extra second or three around VIR, what are you going to do?
