I have an e30 ita 325e in my shop now. At 2550 it should be a very competitive car we have seen 135 to 140 rwhp and 165-170 ft lbs of torque. It has very good brakes and very good handling with the right shocks. Oh yea its rear wheel drive too :happy204:

people tend to underestimate the eta powerplant(that's ironic "eta POWERplant") however with some slight mods it gets to be competitive this weight adjustment should put us back on the front of the field i hope...

These mods - of course - don't include any valve springs other than the stock anemic ones they came with, right? Because - of course - putting in better valve springs to get the engine to rev would - of course - be illegal in Improved Touring... - GA

We make those power numbers on the stock spring, new ones from bmw. The trany gearing is pretty good and with the right final drive there is no reason to turn more that 5100 rpm. the stock spring are good to about 5700rpm.

Not only would running double valve springs be illegal - of course- it would be pointless -of course- because the main problem with the 325e engine is its head - of course- and hence would render the new double valve springs useless to the extent that you can not rev it past the 5,700 - 6,000 limit.... OF COURSE...

however ask any bmw racer how much an engine chip liberates the 325e engine... check turner or bimmerworld... and see how much horspower is gained from supersprint or stahl headers which are completely legal - of course.... plus we have plenty of torque to pull us out of those tight delicious corners - of course- so no one needs to be doing anything illegal to be having fun and running competitively - of course...
