For those that have experienced both for roadracing/autocross/hpde etc, which way would you be running right now based on braking only (separate from cost/labor issues) if you could snap your fingers and use either?
Thanks!

IT rules state ABS must be disabled. for AX and HPDE you can leave it in and equipped.

Besides, the ABS on the earlier 240SXes is terrible.

Well if the pump is gonna be in the car then its either all working or all removed. The balance when you just disconnect is horrible. Leaving the rule and all out of it. I would run the ABS rotors and pads but dump the rest of the system.

For road racing - as was stated, you must disable the ABS.

For HPDE and autocross - I'd ask you back "How good are you on the brakes??"

If you are not so good with the threshold braking, then keep the ABS. It'll save you from burning through tires when you do get on the brakes hard enough to lock 'em.

If you're good about not making tires square, then disable/remove it. You can lose some weight with the pump setup if you rework the hard lines, and you can remove the ABS computer too. It gets rid of one other item that can break on you.
