E36 Piston Weight

Anyone have data on a Factory Piston, either Stock bore or .020" Piston Weight?
I will tell you this, a Wiseco .040 piston weights 323.4 to 324.9 g.

Never mind, a stock bmw piston is 6g different than a .040" wiseco. You think this is close enough to be considered lega?

What did you weigh it with, a reloader's scale? Does anyone else measure weight in grains? B)

A digital Postage scale that weighs in Oz's and Grams. Yes Weisco sent the weight of thier pistons in grams. The postal scale was only a couple of grams off of the Weisco weights. That's pretty damn close for me.

There are 437.7 grains in a oz. also 28.349 grams in a oz. (if I remember correctly) or 15.43 grains in a gram.

My fault, a bmw piston is .712 of a pound or 323.4 g (grams not grains).
Glad someone is awake. :blink:
So that means a BMW Piston v a Weisco Piston is 6 grams difference or about 93 grains difference. Point being is this accurate enough to be considered legal?
