e-track and tire rack sources?

i plan to install the tire rack that is made of two adjustable racks between e-track on both sides of the trailer.

any race related sources that are fair priced?

FWIW, I think your best bet is www.mcmaster.com (http://www.mcmaster.com)
Search for "e track", click on one of the first couple of links and it will bring you to the catalog page for their track and shoring bars.
They don't quote S&H on their site but you can call and confirm. FWIW they quoted me ~$12S&H to ship QTY 4 5ft pieces from Atlanta to Miami. Very reasonable.
You can poke around Ebay also and compare what's out there.

The things for the tires are called "shoring bars". I got mine through Racer Wholesale (or Racer Parts Wholesale - can't remember which). For the E-track, find a local company that repairs semi-trailers. They will be cheaper than internet sources, and the freight won't eat up all your $$. I got mine from Liberty Trailer in North Little Rock, AR.

Racer Parts Wholesale doesn't sell shoring beams anymore. At least the last time I called. Go to google and look up "shoring beams". You should find some. Etrack should be found at any trailer hitch place too.

a substitute for shoring beams using common parts is..
-e-track brackets that hold 2x4 lumber
-2in box metal bars (hollow!)
-3in id pvc pipe
-a couple of bolts

put brackets in etrack
cut metal bars to fit
cut pvc pipe to fit over bars
put bar/pipe in brackets
use bolts to hold bar to brackets

strong, and the round pvc pipe prevents the square edge of the bar (or shoring beam) from cutting a line in your tires.

I dont know where you are located but this place stocks it, and if I can recall it was just under 20$ for a 12 ft section. they had a few colors available.
They are local for me so I have no idea about shipping

I&#39;m going to add a fold up tire rack to the side of my trailer. I dont want anything going across my trailer.
I need to be able to walk back and forth in my trailer as we vend out of it as well.

"E-beams" that East Coast Trailer sells here locally (http://www.ectrailer.com/) in essence seems like the very same as the shoring beams. Its an adjustable box frame aluminum tube that expands from 91" to 102.3" and had spring loaded e-track clips on each side. Its load rated at 2000# for the dinky one (LOL) and weighs 20.5# per and load rated at 2500/3000# for the bigger one which weighs 23# per. And the real nice part is the cost, $34.95 for the small one, $41.00 for the big. They also sell E-track (painted and galvanized) in custom lengths - I went with painted for the cost and if I remember correctly, it was extremely inexpensive. They also sell the clip-ins that ITANorm has in the photo (the grey strap & hook type on the left side of the picture) for a few dollars a piece.

There is also a different variant of the E-beams that I never persued that were twice the price and I cannot recall for what reason.

I set mine up as two parallel bars and installed my e-track horizontally instead of vertically (they go into three studs each so its not going anywhere). I would have done what ITANorm did but with a curved front of the trailer, it wouldn&#39;t have worked as well in my case.

A friend and I made ours. Each one holds 6 wheels and they fold up when empty.

What kind of fastner did you use to keep these fixed to the walls? 6 wheels and tires is pretty heavy.
I like yours and am thinking of makeing some similar but want to make sure when I fasten it to the wall it does not fall off the first time I drive it down the road loaded.

Sorry for the delay. I&#39;m sort of an occational lurker here.
The tire racks are through-bolted through the wall studs. We drilled all the way through and ran bolts with rubber washers from the outside in, and used nylock nuts on the inside.
I can do chin-ups on them.. they&#39;re not going anywhere.
