In the market for a good race car trailer. Can't afford enclosd; steel and open deck OK. Gotta have a beavertail, ramps and enough length for just about any production-based SCCA racer.

Unless you're willing to deliver it should be a reasonable distance from Wallingford CT. New or used, let me know whatcha got or what you've seen in your local periodicals/newsletters.

Hey Greg-

I just saw Jeremy Sheppards new living room on wheels trailer this past weekend, so that means his sweet open deck trailer might just be available. From what I remember, it should match your description, and as I remember, it's in ok condition. Shoot him an email.

Check out the classifieds at http://www.racingjunk.com/browsecategory.j...d=20&premiere=0 (http://www.racingjunk.com/browsecategory.jsp?id=20&premiere=0)

There's more trailers there than anywhere I've seen on the web. Most are enclosed but there are flat deck trailers too.

Greg,

If there's any way you can swing it, there's a killer deal on an '03 24' Halumark in SC. Trailer was new this year, and has been used once. Guy is looking for $4500, which is probably $2500 - $3000 off list.

Mark, thanks. Your reply email keeps bouncing,

Bill - an enclosed trailer? That's out of my budget, but for the right deal I'm sure I can work something out. Would you contact me directly with the details?

Greg,

Alan Poindexter in the Atlanta region was selling a 20 ft open trailer for $1000 or best offer. His number is (404) 375-5555.
Don't know if he sold it or not.

Its a really nice trailer, diamond plate
floor with a tool box.

Tell him I gave you the number.

Tom

Tom,

Greg seemed interested, so I'll let him post where it is if he decides not to take it.

Thanks, Bill.

Unfortunately, I called him yesterday and he has a deposit on it now. I've asked for the next right to first refusal, but it sounds like a done deal...

That's OK, the grapes were probably sour anyway...

I ended up buying a new trailer this past week.

I purchased a 15' dual-axle open-deck Eco-Trailer brand. Steel c-channel construction, diamond-plate runways, 3' beavertail with a 3" drop. Included all new components (inc new tires), ramps, safety chains, lights, electric brakes on both axles, breakaway controller and battery, wiring, nose jack. Uses a 2-5/16" ball and 7-pin rotary RV plug. The trailer itself was $1650 and I added $190 to that for four new ratcheting tie-downs, four axle straps, a 2-5/16" ball, the truck wiring plug, and a solid-state brake controller.

I bought it all from a retailer in Hubbardston Massachusetts named Stemac Sales. Super folks and for less than $1800 I got completely setup with a new trailer and accessories.

I'm so stylin' it hurts.
