I am looking for a cheap video camera to put in my IT car. What features do I need at a minimum to get the job done. Circuit City has a Quasar by Panasonic VHS-C Camcorder with image stabilization and built in light model VMD52 for $199. It does not have the pop out screen for viewing. A used one would fit the bill also.

I bought the cheapest at the time. JVC vhs-c
works great though if the field of vision was any less it would not be good. I like vhs-c, even though it is a dieing format. I do not have a pop out screen. if my car was not a hatchback it would be a pain. one must is the twelve volt car adapter.
