Working on some lights for night enduros this year, Anyone have any thoughts on the differeences between these two:
KC Slimlite (130 watt, 6 inch round)
PIAA Pro Xt 80 (120 watt, 6 3/4 round)
Hella Ralleye 4000 compact driving beam (6 3/4 round 55 watt)

The KC's are smallestand have the most wattage- does this lead to a good light pattern and brightness?
These lamps will be used for apex lighting; I'm usding the stock headlights for fill lighting in the front.

Should I be looking more at diameter verse wattage? High wattage bulbs in nay combination of of xenon are available.

General thoughts on lighting?

thanks!!
Marcus

Marcus--All else being equal, the bigger the lens, the better the light.

That being said, the absolute best right now (real budget busters though) are HID(s). Hella PIAA and KC all make them.

Vastly superior to anything with very little drain on your alternator--just your wallet.

Cheers.

Bigger lenses are indeed better...

...but the real rallying answer cost us a few MPH at the end of the straight at VIR.
