Saw the following posted on specmiata.com; http://www.specmiata.com/ubb/ultimatebb.ph...opic/19/75.html (http://www.specmiata.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?/topic/19/75.html)

It basically says NC Region MAY consider doing a test day prior to the Charge of the Headlight Brigade. The "IF" is whether or not there is enough interest to justify the expense. Go to the link for specifics and contact info.

It sounds like this plan is moving forward, with deposits to be collected soon. The cost may be VERY good - like $200 per car if they get 50 cars!. It also sounds like they are not limiting participation to teams running the enduro. If you are interested, contact Ginny at [email protected]

TRUE! I intend to run my car at the test day, but it will be a spectator on Saturday. I was very clear about this and they did not have a problem with it.

There is now a "sign-up" sheet (PDF format) for the test day on the NC Region website http://www.ncrscca.com

I have a question in regarding what happens if the "minimum" number of cars don't pre-register. It could be read that those who do are obligated to pay the balance due up to their share of the total.

I figured that if 6 teams pre-registered, the cost would be in excess of $1500.

I got an answer and it appears that we will be able to opt out if they get fewer than the number of entries that puts the fee at $200. If the number is too small, they may of course have to cancel it.

Don't sweat it. Test days just prior to loooong enduros are always packed. New cars/new drivers/new widgets to test. My crystal ball says that VIR will be packed that day.

And somebody always totals an enduro car at the test day. Always.
