While things are fairly quiet I'd like to put the word out that the Supplementary Regulations and forms for the 2004 12 hours at the Point have just been posted at

http://www.12hoursatthepoint.org/entrysupps.htm

Have a safe and happy new year.

In the supps it says that you can not work on your car while their is a black Flag all but the clock will continue to run.... Is this against the GCR???

Doesn't seem quite fair.

What if you were already working on the car??? You would need to stop imideatly and others on the race track would get to continue finishing their lap??? Maybe this is picky but I think that it is a rule that most enduro's seem to have that is not fair, or consistant with other SCCA road races...

This happened to us last year. The way it works is as follows. If you are in pit lane and they stop the race you can work on your car until the first car that received black flag enters pit lane. At that point all work must stop and you can not continue until the green flag is wavied. If you are in the paddock you may continue to work on the car. However , once the black flag or red is throwen you may not go in or out of the paddock as it is considered closed until the green flag drops. Last year we had made a pit stop during green then it went black for the lightning. We had already fuel and had the right side jacked up for tires at this point we had to stop. It really saved us as if we had finished the stop and mounted rains then we would have had to come back in after the hour delay and put back on the drys.
