After doing some research, I think I decided my next race car will be a Probe GT in ITS. The only thing I've noticed that seems kind of weird is that only the 93 Probe GT is listed in the GCR. The 93 thru 97 are virtually identical, just some minor cosmetic diferences. Does any body know why they only show the 93? Can I use a 93 to 97 if I put everything to 93 specs? Who do I need to ask at the SCCA about this? Thanks in advance for your help

You are right about the Probe GT. Write a letter to the CRB requesting the addition of the 94-97 years to be added to the spec line.

My bet is that it was classed, nobody really built one and interest dwindled. COuld make some nice power in ITS but may be a bit overweight. Solid go-fast stuff (coil overs, diff, pistons) may be hard to find.

Have fun! Had one from 94-96 and loved it.

You may want to think about the Mazda MX-6.
Same car for the most part, but less Frontal Area and COD. And might be able to get parts via Mazda easier than Ford.

Good luck and enjoy what ever you run.

Like most bastard cars that were made by the Ford/Mazda mating you can get parts from both Mazda and Ford. Regardless of the emblem on the hood. Need a valve cover, put a mazda on that ford! Really mess w/ those tech inspectors!
