What are the typical entry fees for the ARRC? What about the Friday practice day? It can't be much more then up here at lime rock. http://ITForum.ImprovedTouring.com/rolleyes.gif

How about much less. ARRC was $200 and the Pro IT was $180 I believe. ARRC entry gives you two 30 min Qual sessions on Fri, Sat morn warm up and a 20 lap race. Pro IT was a 30 min qual and a 20 lap race on Fri. Lets hope it stays the same this year or maybe just a minimal increase.

Dave,

Safe bet is that it will be less than a 1-day Regional at LRP! http://ITForum.ImprovedTouring.com/eek.gif http://ITForum.ImprovedTouring.com/biggrin.gif

Wow, it costs that much to race up there! And I thought Barber was expensive last year! At least we got two days!

I dunno Bill, I've always thought Summit Point was high in terms of entry fees given the track condition and the facilities. You MARRS guys pay as much for Summit as we dirty sutherners pay for Road Atlanta, VIR, Lowes, and Daytona.

Apparently we're pretty spoiled down here. We're doing a 2 hour enduro next weekend at CMP with 20 minute practice and qualifying sessions... $205.
Yes, thats 2 hours and 40 minutes of seat time for $205.
Just another reason I love livin' in Jawja... The pretty girls sure don't hurt.

Yes, you can, but........

Announce that teardowns will be different this year....

(predictable teardowns mean predictable engine building, if you know what I mean...)

Sorry Dave, you know I will help you take it apart and put it back together if you make it to "the shed"... http://ITForum.ImprovedTouring.com/wink.gif

The problem with Lime Rock, from the SCCAs POV, is the $44,000 rental fee that has, IIRC, as part of it's contract and restrictions, no engines before 10AM Friday, (9AM SAT) or after 6PM either day, a mandatory 1HR silent period during lunch (I think) and of couse, no racing of any kind on Sunday. With a 40 max car run group, and short days, it's tough to make enough enries to break even.

And it requires to take a day off from work, so that represents lost revenue, adding even more cost to the weekend.

They had seemed almost negotiable on some of the $ if the club provided services, which the club agreed to do, but in the end, from what I hear, there were no concessions. I spoke with a Porsche Club of America head honcho who reported similar increases and "co-operation", and said he isn't sure if they will even be able to run a race at all next year. Their entry fee was almost $400.

That would cost me another $75 if you still do three races, and $$ is always tight around here. Only if the ProIT paid enough to cover the difference. http://ITForum.ImprovedTouring.com/smile.gif
