I wish you the best of luck, the 3.90:1 r180 was (supposedly) only used for 6 months on the front of the 720 4x4 pickup.

I have one that came with my car as a spare that I'm told is an R180, but it may really be an R190, which I'm told is more common, or even an R160. Without taking it apart I don't know how to tell the difference. It looks like it will bolt to a R180 moustache bar, if that helps. If you have any insight here let me know, I'll check for you. The ring gear is stamped 39:10 so it is definitely a 3.90:1. It is not an R200, those are easy to spot.

Anyway, I'm in New Mexico, email me if you're interested. I don't mind shipping.

There is one being offered on ebay right now. I already have one or I'd be bidding on it.

Mike is trying to find one for a guy that doesn't want a welded rear...
I already found him one an hour from his house but he won't use a welded rear....

I don't find any on Ebay unless you are talking about the R-200's, one with the Phantom "Slip" and one Z31 3:70....
Unless you are talking about the 200sx 4:11 in which case that's already gone..

You're right. I was bouncing between sites. The one I saw was in the classified section of this site...and it is welded.

You might still be able to get the ring/pinion set from Nissan.

www.courtesyparts.com (http://www.courtesyparts.com)
Sells NISMO competition parts. The R180 ring/pinion will fit any R180 carrier.

Its not cheap though.

Actually, Wolf Creek racing has had a new 3:90 R&P advertised on their site for quite a while for 300 bucks and a new 3:70 for 275.
