Does anyone know of a source for mild-steel or stainless header flanges (preferably 3/8" or thicker) for KA24DE engines?

I'd like to get started fabbing a race header, and this is the only piece I'm having trouble finding...

Thanks,

Darin, I think the quickest way would be to fabricate them yourself. I haven't seen any for sale, but I'll keep my eyes open and let you know if I see anything that would work. If you decide to make your own, use your manifold gaskets as a template. Maybe, someone in town can laser cut them or cnc them. Just an idea.

Tristan,

I've missed a couple of sets that have come up on e-bay from time to time... They are for Turbo kits, but include the raw flange and associated tubing. Missed the last one by a buck! http://Forums.ImprovedTouring.com/it/mad.gif

I'll keep looking and will post if I find a source...

I'd be in... Likely need at a couple of them in mild steel at first. Once the proper combination was developed, I'd be interested in trying SS if you'd weld it for me! http://Forums.ImprovedTouring.com/it/wink.gif

Can you find out how much it would be???

I don't have a KA24, but I'd like 3 or so made for the SR20DE. I can draw out and provide to you a 2D DWG or DXF file, if it would make the price any less...

Are you milling, flame-cutting, or water-jetting them (or otherwise?)

I have used these guys for flanges in the past. The pieces are always nice and the prices are good.
