Oil cooler on Z3 1.9?

I'm used to cars with spin-on filters that I could add a sandwich plate to. Any suggestions for adding a cooler to an M44 engine? Is it similar to adding a cooler to the 6-cyl cars?

The easiest route for the M44 is probably an adaptor cap from VPD running to a Setrab or Mocal cooler. I'm not terribly familiar with the M44 engine...but...if it shares the threaded cap with the E46 non-M3's then they should have you covered.
