anyone have any instructions on how to disable the steering wheel lock on an e36 325is? just about at that point in the race car construction and would appreciate any pointers. for some reason this procedure is not covered in bentleys! http://Forum.ImprovedTouring.com/it/smile.gif

There is a simple way to do disable the mechanism by drilling out the retaining spring from the underside of the steering column. Unfortunately I don't remember the exact location. If I can find the diagram that I had, I will email. Good luck.

hmmm... drill hole (or what looks like multiple holes in the pic), remove spring. sounds simple.
