chuck, obviously not an E30 driver here, but I have used two Setrabs on my TR8. Seem to be off good quality and did run noticabely cooler after install. Price was ok too; certainly at or near what you would pay for similar sizes for different brands in Summitt, etc.

When I had my E30 I originally used the stock 325is cooler under the front bumper. I regularly saw 260 and 270 degree temps. These are high and I was concerned, but I never had any type of engine failure related to oil temp.

I then installed a Griffin Ford NASCAR radiator with the integrated oil cooler/heat exchanger (on the right side). This dropped the temps down to around 240.

With this car I did notice if I short shifted into 5th gear around 5800/6000 the oil temps would drop about 15 degrees.
