Hi! I am new to this game and just acquired a 325is that was last raced in 2000. I see there is a new rule that requires a fuel test port. can anyone tell me the best place for this on an e30 and what to use?

thanks!
Marshall

I put mine on the fuel line just as it goes into the fuel rail. Purchase a 5/16 barb tee and about 4 feet of 8mm hose and 3 hose clamps. You will also need to get a 5/16 barb one end and 1/4 thread on the other along with a 1/4 cap to seal the end used to dispense the fuel when asked to.

Marshall,

I've misplaced your e-mail address. Can you drop me a line to [email protected].

Are you racing with WDC at Summit PT in April?

Thanks.

I put mine in my toolbox. I've got it assembled and ready to install. I'm not thrilled about having the extra points of possible failures in my gasline under my hood. I'll slap it on for my annual tech, but I don't like the idea of that being on the car while racing. Hell, use the same gas cans for my race car as I do for my lawn mower. I wont spend $20 for race fuel jugs, I am sure as heck not going to spend $20-$50 for a gallon of exotic race fuel.

after searching for the individual pieces, i just gave up an got a preassembled fuel port from paul morrison at http://www.angelfire.com/oh5/sccafuelports.../homepage1.html (http://www.angelfire.com/oh5/sccafuelports/homepage1.html)

nicely put together and less than $20f ro the port and sampling valve. way easier than trying to do this myself. recommended!
