I think I might of tracked down my possible intake leak. For awhile now I've been getting really high EGT temps, like pegging out the gauge high. I have WAY to big of jets in there but nothing helps so I'm was guessing air was getting in. With the car running I sprayed some carb clean around the carb and when I sprayed it on the intake monifold joing to the engine the engine rpm's increased.

So I'm going to order a new gasket. Do you guys put anything on your intake manifold gaskets like high temp rtv or something? I just want to make sure this doesn't happen again.

No sealer but make sure that all for the surfaces are real clean.

Ben, when ordering the gaskets be sure to buy the "0" rings. Even if the intake is illegaly pluged. http://ITForum.ImprovedTouring.com/biggrin.gif

It actually isn't plugged! I was suprised to say the least. I think I've got a gosh darn legal car on my hands after a couple years of working on it to make it so. Yippie!
