I have been working on my IT-7 85 RX-7 and found the front caliper bolt boot missing on the left side. I ordered the boot from Mazda and it came with a boot and also a ,looks like, a bushing type part. What is the proper way to assemble this in the caliper?
I don't want to screw up and wonder if you guys can help out.

Johhny, I never repaired the deal your talking about. My front rotors are laying loose dangling by the braided lines siting on a block. It looks like the deal for the upper caliper pin is a rubber shield that keeps the dirt/shit off the upper pin. The lower deal looks like it's rubber all the way through the caliper. Like the lower pin slides in a rubber sleeve.
Take a look at your other side if all the parts are on that other side.
Best I can do. http://ITForum.ImprovedTouring.com/wink.gif

Don't worry about the boot... it'll end up getting torn up anyway with the number of times the calipers go off and on with us racers.
Make sure that you use a little lube on the shaft of the bolt.
