As I've been doing my prep work for for preparing for the season adn 25 hours, I ran come across an interesting item. There are no frontline CRX's running in SFR/CalClub. Why is this the Mazda Section, you might ask?

I own a Mazda, and would like to hear other Mazda owner's opinions, before I ask the Honda crowd. http://Forum.ImprovedTouring.com/it/smile.gif
It interests me from the perspective that it smees every other region of the country has been overrun and the ITA spec RX-7 is not competitive, and from the endurance perspective as we (Rx-7 and CRX) are classsed together. I worry about building the built to the hilt Rx-7 for the 25 hour and having joe schmoe appear with a CRX and wax us. (ir-respective of the fact we are clearly better prepared car http://Forum.ImprovedTouring.com/it/wink.gif)

thoughts?

Because they have more fun running with NASA in the Honda Challenge classes. It got boring and too easy waxing those rx7's.

They may come back someday...who knows.

Two old sayings come to mind.

"If you can't beat them join them"--build a CRX and go honda-challenge.

"While the cat's away, the mice will play"--have fun racing your rx7 against others until the Crx's return.

That's the thing though, the CRX's runnning Honda Challenge are not any faster than the 7's. I'm not sure if they are not running to their full potential because they don't have to, while wining in Honda Challenge, or if they are not prepared fully...
