Howdy folks. I'm going to be doing some low buck racing this year and I wanted to pass this plan by you. My current exhaust set up (came on the car) is a header, then a quick 2 into 1 which takes an angle and exits through a super trapp in front of the right side rear wheel. I've never liked this idea and boy does it raise the temps in that tire.

What came with the car that the previous owner cut off in order to go with the current set up was 2 pipes that went over the axle then 2 into 1 right before the muffler. It was cut off with a torch so I'm going to be doing a little fabrication in order to make it go back together. I think the previous long exhaust was also kind of put together piece by piece.

So my question is, am I crazy? (only talking about the exhaust stuff here)

When this is all done with it's not going to be an extremly slick (talking about the ridges on the inside of the pipes) system. Plus the current bends over the axle were not all that nice meaning they pinch a little in the bends so I'm guessing there's a little restriction there.

The reason the previous owner cut off the long set up was because he wanted something louder. http://Forum.ImprovedTouring.com/it/smile.gif

I've thought about cutting off the slightly pinched bends and welding something smoother on. On the long set up the 2 into 1 creation was cut just before it goes into a nice 3" pipe so I'm going to be doing some work.

Do you think this revised exhaust set up is worth the work? Is it worth it? I'm pretty much got all the materials so it will just be good old hard work.

Thanks! (and sorry for the long post) http://Forum.ImprovedTouring.com/it/smile.gif
