Anyone know of a good rebuilder for IT/SM heads. Looking for someone to send a customer's head to.

Thanks,

The big name in Miata heads/engines seems to be Sunbelt, at least according to the chatter over at the Spec Miata board.

Unfortunately, Googling "Sunbelt" seems to bring up a bunch of Florida stock car references. I know that Grassroots Motorsports magazine (www.grassrootsmotorsports.com) did some work with them on various projects over the years - you might try them for contact information.

Where are you located?

Sunbelt is excellent, but there are also a number of other folks around the US who are doing great work with SM heads. There may be one closer to you than Sunbelt (located in Sugar Hill, Georgia).

Bob Stretch has one he'll probably let go at a reasonable price. :-)

We are located "generally" in the Detroit Mi. area. Sorry, should have posted that first. Thanks for the leads, I'll start researching. And if someone knows of something closer, even better yet.

Geo46, the world is a small place. A shipping box and FedEx/UPS puts it at your fingertips...

Oh, I am aware of this, and I agree. Still, I "prefer" to support local businesses when possible.

Bob's head would have passed tech for IT, I think the compression was within the .5 allowance.
