Ive got a an second gen Rx-7 with a MOMO nascar seat. Currently its mounted directly on top of the original seat braces, 4" square 1/8 thick backing plates, unfortunately, the seat is to high, and the discomfort is become unbearable, along with safety hazard. My question is would removing the cross bracing in the floor disturb the structural integrity of the unibody if i were hit in the side? Of course, I do have a welded cage with NASCAR bars so this may be a dumb question?
