Did anyone catch the blurb in the latest Fast Track under the FM section about Mazda soon running out of parts to produce 6-port 13B engines? The RENESIS will be allowed for regional competition only starting next year with a weight penalty. What does this say about the availability of parts to the ITS guys? Comments?

Many classes have had this problem.
In the same fasttrack, they say that the SRF 5 gear is no longer available and made a rule change to allow an alternate ratio that is available. Look at FF and FC. The had to change the rules for those classes to allow aftermarket internal engine parts.
I often wonder how Mazda has been able to suppily us for as long as they have with parts for cars and motors that haven't been built in 10 to 20 years.
I know Mazda would prefer we get rid of our old cars and race Miata'a and RX8's.
There is no marketing benefit to them when a 1986 RX7 wins at the ARRC.

Now if the SCCA were to let you replace the 13b with a complete Renesis engine, and Mazda sell it to us CHEAP, then those BMW's may not need those lead trophys http://Forum.ImprovedTouring.com/it/smile.gif
