Is the fix to this leak a replacement of the rubber seal visible at the very back end of the tailshaft (that seal which can be replaced from the outside simply without driveshaft removal) or is it an internal seal that requires parting of the cases?
I filled a spare tranny with oil which immediately started leaking out the rear. This was without the driveshaft inserted. Just wondering whether tranny opening is needed.
