My books are at home. Does anybody know the Manual Transmission capacity for an '86-'91 RX-7?
(If it's after 6:00 PM Eastern on Tuesday, don't bother)
Thanks!

Yup! I looked it up last night. MT takes 2.6 and the rear-end takes 1.3. Four quarts should take care of everything.

Whoa Nellie. They take different oils. I burned up a rear end using MT oil in it, and I don't think you want rear gear oil in your trannie.

Nah, the new 0-20w. Seriously, I've used 75-90W Mobil 1 in everything for a while. Never had a diff failure. I've blown one trans in the IT car on it. But I've blown a Miata trans on Redline. So I doubt it's fluid related. Just not a real strong box.
My Pep Boys just started carrying Mobil 1 75-140W FWIW. My next "good" box in the IT car will run Redline Shockproof.

You can definately use the 75-90 Mobil 1 in both the diff and the tranny. Great stuff.
