No window net? The #99 car has a top in some photos and not in others (or there are two #99 cars)? The bottom of the window net is held in with pull ties?

The cars are obviously owned by Dave Lemon of Mazdatrix. The topless one is a second gen RX-7 while the hard top is a first gen.
Though niether one have window nets, isn't that allowed if you use arm restrains instead?

I assume you are refering to the picture labeled "LEMONEAL3". If so, that is actually a picture of two cars side by side. One the # 99 of Dave Lemon and the other is Bob Neal. I don't think there is anything "wrong" with the picture. It just looks sorta strange.

And pgipson has a bingo, I took this pic at the national at buttonwillow of what I thought was going to be a great racing pic for them, when I got home I was shocked Bobs car all but disappeared. I showed it to them and they got a kick out it, and I knew at least one of you guys would notice the roof was a 1st gen and put it together.
When I look at pictures like that, I think thank god I am racing in the NE where it is green and rolling. Come out and join us. dave
Believe it or not, 100 years ago this was a green marshland with a BIG river running thru it until they built a dam and diverted all the waters to the central valley farms and towns, it is now a desert much like they did to the owens valley on the other side of the sierras.
