Hey Guys,
Another productive weekend on the car, the steering wheel lock has been removed (okay, so was the whole keyswitch), we decided on a toggle, and that is wired in. next step, gauges.
I'd like to use the autometer guages I have sittgin onthe shelf; however, I'm undsure of the best way to wire thme in. Does anyone know:
A) If the stock sending units are anywhere near the Autometer sending units interms of function (I seriously doubt it)
B) Where I can get adapters to go from the std. sending units to metirc bungs to thread in the stock locations?
C) What size are the stock sending units? (oil pressure and water temperature)
D) How did you guys plumb in the oil pressure gauge? I've got an 85 with water > oil cooler, and mazdatrix says their gauge adapter won't work as its for the air to oil cooler. . . Does anyone else make something like that, compatible with the 85 cooler?
