I cant seem to get the strut rods to stop spinning in the shock tower any suggestions?

I assume you are trying to remove the nut. If so use an impact. Whatever you do don't put any type of wrench on the shaft.

If that's not what your concern is, please elaborate.

Norm, if the nut is the one that holds the insert in there should have been a washer of some type between the top of the nut & rubber stop that is around the insert rod. This washer per say becomes the slip item that will not allow the steering/turning torque to be transfered to the nut when the spring is compressed so that the rubber stop is against washer or against the nut if the washer is missing. Cheep deal but how many street cars are loaded up like a race car.
Is the right nut the only one that lossens on you?

I guess everything is ok, the nut is not actually loosening on the shaft, I just didn't remember from when I installed the struts that the whole shaft could turn so easily where mounted at the top of the shaft.

I 've been told that it is a bearing type setup where the rod mounts to the
stock camber/castor adjusting plate so the shaft is allowed to turn.
