Don't know why I do this stuff. Just drug another 2nd Gen home last night. Really nice car with a blown water seal. Figure I'll part most of it out, keep the body panels for my IT car and maybe keep the tub to start on a Prod car. Anyone have any input on how the tin-tops really do in Prod? And anyone have the link to the Prod site? Thanks.

Chris, "eprodrx7" or "eprx7" who posts is John Weisberg from the North East. 2nd gen does very well. Of course "Lucy" helps.

Prod site is www.coloradoscca.org/prodcar/index.php (http://www.coloradoscca.org/prodcar/index.php)

ps: I bought a 1st gen donor last fall which is mostly striped. Two car garage, 1/2 for race car, 1/2 for donor car, 94 supercharged 5 speed 60,000 mile Supercoupe sat in the snow on the driveway with the truck.

Lucy??

Who/what is Lucy?? I thought I knew John pretty well, living all of a block away from him and all!

Jake, "Lucy" is the lady who is the most steady steady influence in JW's life. I would think she would be a steady fixture in the shop.

Well Jake if you ever returned my calls you would know that I have moved. I didn't even ask you to come over and help me move a really heavy leather couch... Those that know Jake will get it. Dave thanks for the praise but as for Lucy I spent most of an hour chasing her up and down the street today. Oh yeah she's a big help... Chris call me anytime for info about EP I would love to see some more of them out there.

Thanks guys. I really don't wanna put the cart before the horse though. I still have an ITS car that won't run right! http://Forums.ImprovedTouring.com/it/rolleyes.gif

Chris,

Strange, it happened to me too. The owner of the lot where I store my trailer called and asked me to come look at a car that he just got a salvage title for. It's an 88 GTU that is clean but needs an ignition key. Oh darn..
I guess I'll have to hot wire it and drive it home.

Brought home a lift for the garage yesterday.....this is going to be a trick to get this car here without getting thrown out.

Wish me luck.

Thanks John. It's all documented in the "2G FI help" thread. We're having some sort of electrical/sensor problem for sure. The only thing we haven't swapped for a known good part is the AFM and we'll do that this weekend. How I long for the days of carburators! It either works or it doesn't.
