hi guys
i was wanting to know how you cut or modified your dash / console for the cage and the cross member. the tube that would pass through the console area.
i tried to cut as little as possible at the sides of the dash. but the center console is so brittle it just cracks when i move it a bit.
88 na , post some pics if you have them.
thanks
robert

Sorry Robert, but my cage goes through my dash. Although the pics on page 2 of my web page, http://home.mindspring.com/~twire , don't show the dash installed, I have since fit the dash and I only cut it in 3 places. The two front down tubes and the end of the dash where the X bar goes.

Robert, I race a Spec-7 there for I can not do the dash cross tube. On this site if you were to click on Tech Center & then click on Tech Photos you will find a bunch of photos of a CRX complete roll cage/dash bar. The dash will show a horizontal tube with one diagonal from near the center going to each side tube. Upon doing something for the first time it will take considerable thinking/planning & trial.

It's a 1st gen, but there are a few pics on our website of our cage. Click the pic below then look for the RX7 link on the sidebar.

sorry guys....

Physically type in the URL and it will work.

The address to my site is www.balz.myip.org (http://www.balz.myip.org)

I have a directory listing with a TON of pics laying below it (Racing Stuff).

The actual link is... http://www.balz.myip.org/racing%20stuff/

%20 = a "space" in html code. Most browsers will add this for you...sorry!
