2G RX7: Speedocable

I'm removing stock guages, and the speedometer cable is going with them. Can I just put a vinyl cap over the fitting on the trans? Is trans fluid going to be moving through that fitting (doubt it)?

Paul just unscrew the coller off of the tranny and you are done. There is an internal seal on the dive flange that works quite well. No need for cap or anything.
