hi Newbie race question I was just wondering what does everybody check and tighten on the race cars before every race weekend and session for that matter?

Hello Torque Wrench and Tire pressure gauge. These are 2 very important/required tools that should be used before you load up to leave home and before/after each on-track session. Most other hardware will be fine after it is properly installed and torqued during routine maintenance at home. Since IT cars must have wipers you might want to insure that the blades are good (even if they don't operate for some reason). There is a terrific checklist (FREE) at www.opentracking.com (http://www.opentracking.com) that you can use to prep. This and the ones that another body requires are what I use to make sure the car is ready for Tech.

If you are putting your car on the track for the first time, then I would suggest getting the current issue of Grassroots Magazine. They have a great feature about taking a newly built racecar to the track.
